Elvis and Graves: More Photos from Lewin Park
Even when the residents are gone, the Elvis statue remains
Last week, we ran , a neighborhood at the corner of Beulah and Franconia-Springfield Parkway that is scheduled to be demolished. The site will house office buildings and a hotel.
Today we have more pictures from the neighborhood. Earlier this year, Karen Ingebretsen went to the neighborhood and tooks pictures, including pictures from a 19th-century cemetery in the area.
"I know that the developer paid the owners very richly for their property, so most likely the owners aren't too sorry to be going," Ingebretsen wrote in an email. "But I'm sad to see Lewin Park go."
