County and School Closings

In the past 78 days from Nov.1st.2013 to Jan.20th.2014, kids in Fairfax County Schools have be to class a total of 33 days. Next Wed. Jan. 29th. the Second Grading Period ends, and then the kids will be out of school on the 30th and 31st. of Jan. My question is, How are teachers going to grade the kids when they haven't been in school long enough to learn anything ?  How can they learn anything if  schools aren't opened to them ?
