Alleged GPS Thief Arrested After Man Tracks His Property on Craigslist

Police made an arrest after a man met the seller at a Route 1 donut shop

A Fairfax man tracked down his stolen property on Craigslist and met with the seller at a Richmond Highway donut shop to have the man arrested.

It all started on Feb. 10, when thieves broke into a Buick sedan on the 13000 block of Pleasant View Lane and stole two GPS systems, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.

The owner of the car contacted police to report the crime and also scoured Craigslist in the hopes that they would turn up there. He found an item that he suspected was his, and arranged to meet the seller at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the donut shop, police said.
