Alleged Springfield Child Rapist Arrested at Airport
Augusto Montalvo is accused of aggravated sexual battery against a 12-year-old child
Police arrested a Springfield man at Dulles International Airport Saturday, on charges of sexually assaulting a child in Fairfax County.
Augusto G. Montalvo, a 54-year-old Springfield resident, was wanted in Fairfax County on charges of aggravated sexual battery and animate object sexual penetration, based on a report filed in January. His alleged victim was 12 at the time of the report.
After confirming Montalvo's identity, Customs and Border Protection officers handed him over to the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police.

“CBP officers take great pleasure in returning dangerous fugitives like this to justice,” Christopher Hess, CBP port director for the Port of Washington, said in a press release.
