Animal Control: Springfield Woman Charged for Leaving Dog in a Car

The Labrador mix was examined by a veterinarian and found to be OK.

Rebekah Bryk, 28, of Springfield, was recently charged with unfit owner and failure to provide adequate care after reportedly leaving her dog in a vehicle for almost an hour.

According to FCPD's recent weekly crime report, officers responded to a call for a dog left in a vehicle Sept. 1 in the 6600 block of Springfield Mall. The Labrador mix was later examined by a veterinarian and found to be OK.
