Body Found on I-495 Near Telegraph Road

State police found a man's body early Wednesday morning.

Virginia State Police are investigating a body found in the eastbound lane of I-495 near Telegraph Road early Wednesday morning.

At approximately 2:49 a.m., a state trooper was notified of a possible disabled vehicle, according to a release from the police. At the scene, he found man’s body near a gray 2011 Nissan Frontier. There was a passenger in the vehicle as well. He was unconscious but uninjured.

According to the department’s preliminary investigation and to evidence at the scene, investigators believe the Frontier was involved in a minor collision, as the back of the vehicle was damaged. According to the release, investigators believe the driver of the vehicle got out of the car and was hit by another vehicle on I-495.

The passenger, Je Ki Ma, 42, of Philadelphia, was arrested for public intoxication and taken to Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.

Police are asking anyone who was in the area of I-495 near Telegraph Road and saw something to call state police at 703-803-0027.

The Virginia State Police Accident Reconstruction Team and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation Fairfax Field Office are assisting with the investigation.
