Cars Overturned in Police Chase on Van Dorn

Tu Thong, Maryland resident, charged in pursuit

Two cars were overturned in a pursuit near Franconia Road and Interstate 95 Sunday morning.

Fairfax County police and Virginia State Police were pursuing a man around 2 a.m. Police say a K-9 officer attempted to stop the suspect's car using Precision Immoblization Technique, a maneuver that forces a car to turn sideways.

During the move, both cars overturned. As the suspect fled, the FCPD officer and his dog, with help from a helicopter, pursued him. The suspect was eventually caught.
