Crime Blotter: Weapons Waved at Geese

The following information was supplied by the Fairfax County police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

In the crime blotter from the Franconia Police District from April 8 to 14, three individuals waved what could have been BB guns at geese. Also in the report: A man's estranged wife took money out of his bank account.

Destruction, BYRON AVE / HUNTER VILLAGE DR, 4/8/12. Graffiti was reported under a bridge.

Drugs, 6800 Block of SPRINGFIELD BLVD, 4/10/12. An individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Drugs, 6800 Block of SPRINGFIELD BLVD, 4/10/12. An individual was found to be in possession of drugs.

Drugs, 6800 Block of SUPREME CT, 4/12/12. An individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Drugs, 6900 Block of BLAND ST, 4/12/12. Following a traffic stop, an individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Burglary/Breaking & Entering, 7300 Block of CHARLOTTE ST, 4/13/12. An acquaintance of the resident entered the home without the resident’s permission and stolen items.

Larceny, 6800 Block of INVERNESS DR, 4/13/12. A vehicle was broken into; numerous tools and various items were stolen.

 

Franconia and Rose Hill

Larceny, 6100 Block of PINTO PL, 4/8/12. A vehicle was broken into and tools were stolen.

Larceny, 6500 Block of FRONTIER DR, 4/8/12. A subject posing as a potential buyer of a cell phone online met the owner at this location, grabbed the cell phone, and fled.

Larceny, 6100 Block of FRANCONIA RD, 4/9/12. Shoplifting.

Larceny, 6600 Block of SPRINGFIELD MALL, 4/9/12. Attempted shoplifting.

Drugs, FRANCONIA RD/INWOOD DR, 4/10/12. Following a traffic stop, an individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Larceny, 6800 Block of METROPOLITAN CENTER DR, 4/10/12. A hotel patron attempted to exit the property without paying.

Larceny, 6400 Block of SPRINGFIELD MALL, 4/10/12. Attempted shoplifting.

Larceny, 6400 Block of SPRINGFIELD MALL, 4/10/12. Two individuals attempted shoplifting.

Destruction of Property, 4800 Block of POPLAR DR, 4/11/12. Window of a home damaged by BBs.

Larceny, 6600 Block of SPRINGFIELD MALL, 4/14/12. Attempted shoplifting.

 

Kingstowne

Fraud, 6600 Block of HUNTER CREEK LN, 4/9/12. An individual reported that his estranged wife transferred money from his account to her own.

Weapon Law Violation, 7500 Block of ASHBY LN, 4/9/12. Three individuals were reported to be waving two guns near geese; weapons may have been BB guns.

Destruction of Property, 6500 Block of OLD CARRIAGE WAY, 4/10/12. Storm door of home shattered.

Destruction of Property, 6700 Block of TELEGRAPH RD, 4/10/12. Rear window of a vehicle was shattered.

Drugs, 7200 Block of HAYFIELD RD, 4/10/12. Following a traffic stop, an individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Larceny, 5800 Block of KINGSTOWNE BLVD, 4/10/12. Two individuals attempted shoplifting.

Destruction of Property, 6200 Block of WALKERS CROFT WAY, 4/11/12. Metal rod stuck into vehicle grill.

Destruction of Property, 5600 Block of TOWER HILL CIR, 4/11/12. Graffiti on a sidewalk.

Unlawful Entry/Larceny, 8300 Block of TELEGRAPH RD, 4/13/12. A vacant home was entered.  Copper fixtures were stolen.

Larceny, 6900 Block of HAMILTON CT, 4/13/12. A work van was broken into; power tools and hand tools were stolen.

Burglary/Breaking & Entering, 7800 Block of DESIREE ST, 4/14/12. An occupied home was entered.  The suspect fled when seen.  Nothing was stolen.
