Driver Goes to Hospital After Two-Car Accident
Accident occurred in front of Top Golf on South Van Dorn Street.
A two-car accident was reported Monday afternoon in front of Top Golf and Ruby Tuesday.
"This was a pretty straightforward two-car accident," said responding Officer C.D. Hoggatt. "For such a small tree, it doesn't look like it would do that much damage."
Hoggatt said a Chevy turning into the Top Golf parking lot collided with another vehicle going north on South Van Dorn Street. Both cars received major damage, and one car ran into a tree in the parking lot area of the restaurant. The right, northbound lane on South Van Dorn Street was blocked after officers arrived.
One of the drivers was transported to a nearby hospital with visible injuries, but Hoggatt said the driver should be OK.
Neither of the drivers have received tickets at this time as the accident is still under investigation.
