Using targeted patrols and DWI checkpoints, Fairfax County police arrested 358 alleged drunk drivers last month. That's a twelve percent increase over December 2010, when police made 317 drunk driving arrests in the county. 

Young adults made up nearly half of the arrests. 28 of the alleged drunk drivers were between 15 and 20 years old, and 150 were between 21 and 29 years-old.
