Firefighters Respond to McDonald's Fire

Fire started in ducts

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department firefighters responded to a fire at a Springfield McDonald's Monday afternoon.

Firefighters responded to the call at 6220 Backlick Road around 3:57 p.m., Arlington County Fire Department Battalion Chief Rick Genest said. The flames were brought under control around ten minutes later.

According to Genest, the fire started in the building's ducts. No one was injured.
