Four Arrested in Alcohol Sting

Underage police cadets tested whether stores would sell to minors

Four store employees were arrested Thursday during an underage alcohol sting in the Franconia Police District.     

To test whether a store would sell alcohol to minors, underage Fairfax County police cadets attempted to buy alcohol without ID's. If they were asked if they were 21, they had to answer with their true age. Plain clothes officer watching near the transaction intervene if a cashier or clerk sold alcohol to the underage cadet.

Police checked 15 stores, and made four arrests for the illegal sale of alcohol to a minor at the following stores:
