Franconia Station Citizens Advisory Committee to Meet Wednesday

The meeting will start at 6:30 p.m. at The Thompson Center in Kingstowne.

The monthly Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Thompson Center in Kingstowne.

The Franconia District Police Station CAC meets every third Wednesday of each month. Each month, station police provide a presentation or class on a specific topic starting at 6:30 p.m. and the actual meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. The topic for Wednesday's presentation is "Neighborhood Crime Prevention and Safety" and it will be presented by the station's Crime Prevention Officr Jim Reid.

All residents are welcome to attend CAC meetings each month. No RSVP or membership is needed.

Recently, station commander Captain Jim Baumstark led a community meeting at Crestwood Elementary School in Springfield to discuss the series of assaults that have been occurring in the Springfield area, where more than 200 concerned residents asked questions about the progress of the serial groper case.
