Kingstowne Man Charged in Franconia Road Accident

Police have released the name of the 21-year-old man charged with driving while intoxicated who is allegedly responsibly for the Tuesday morning accident on Franconia Road. , which slowed traffic on Franconia Tuesday and left the man's passenger in the hospital with serious injuries, occurred when the driver hit a utility pole near the Franconia post office.

According to Fairfax County Police Department spokesperson Lucy Caldwell, the driver is Joseph Shuttleworth, a Kingstowne resident who lives in the 6000 block of Lewin Drive, near the Inova HealthPlex.
