UPDATE: Two People Injured in Springfield Shooting

One victim received life-threatening injuries.

Update: 3:42 p.m.

Dan Schmidt, spokesman for Fairfax County Fire & Rescue, said two victims are believed to be involved in the incident. One received life-threatening injuries, along with the other who sustained non-life-threatening injuries. 

The victims were transported to Fairfax Hospital.

Emergency units responded to a shooting Thursday afternoon in the 6200 block of Levi Court in Springfield.

Reports suggest that a male was shot in the stomach, but Officer Broderick with the Fairfax County Police could not confirm this information. 

Broderick said the victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries, and the shooting is believed to be accidental involving two adults.
