Police respond to a restaurant fight

Every week, the Franconia Police District releases a list of reported crimes in the area, and Patch highlights some. Here's the blotter from May 22 - 28.

Notable

Drugs: A student at Edison High was found in possession of marijuana on May 23.

Slashed Tires: On May 27, tires were found slashed on at least three vehicles at the intersection of Beulah Street and Silver Lake Boulevard.

Fight: Officers responded to a fight between multiple people at a Springfield Mall restaurant on May 22.

Dress Code Aggression: The parent of an elementary school student became aggressive towards a principal over the dress code on May 26 on the 6300 block of Rose Hill Drive.

Unconscious at the Wheel: On May 28, at the intersection of Old Keene Mill Road and I-95, a person was discovered unconscious behind the wheel of a running vehicle.


Kingstowne

Larceny, 6400 BLOCK OF ROCKSHIRE CT, 5/22/11. An individual returned to her vehicle to find items missing; the driver’s side door lock had been punched out.

Larceny, 6400 BLOCK OF ROCKSHIRE ST, 5/22/11. An individual returned to his vehicle to find tools missing; the driver’s side door lock had been punched out.

Drugs, 5800 BLOCK OF FRANCONIA RD, 5/23/11. A student was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Larceny, 6100 BLOCK OF ROSE HILL DR, 5/23/11. An individual attempted to leave a grocery store without paying for merchandise.

Larceny, 6200 BLOCK OF ROSE HILL DR, 5/23/11. An individual returned to his vehicle to find the driver’s side window smashed; an iPhone was stolen.

Larceny, 7600 BLOCK OF TELEGRAPH RD, 5/23/11. A student’s mp3 player and MyTouch 4G phone was stolen from his backpack, which was located in his locker.

Drugs, HORGAN CT / MCKENNA WAY, 5/24/11. An individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Robbery, 5800 BLOCK OF KINGSTOWNE CTR, 5/24/11. A masked suspect robbed a business and then took off running; one witness reported seeing what he thought was a gun. .

Fraud, 7100 BLOCK OF SILVER LAKE BLVD, 5/25/11. An individual reported that unauthorized withdrawals were made from his debit card account.

Fraud, 6600 BLOCK OF THORPE TER, 5/25/11. An individual reported that unauthorized withdrawals were made from her debit card account.

Larceny, 5000 BLOCK OF CELTIC DR, 5/25/11. An individual returned to his motorcycle to find that his license plate was stolen.

Larceny, 7600 BLOCK OF TELEGRAPH RD, 5/25/11. A high school student reported that her iPhone was stolen from her locker.

Destruction of Private Property, 5900 BLOCK OF KINGSTOWNE TOWNE CTR, 5/26/11. An individual returned to his vehicle to find that his car had been broken into; nothing appeared to be missing.

Drugs, FRANCONIA RD / SOUTH VAN DORN ST, 5/26/11. Following a traffic stop, an individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Drugs, HORGAN CT / SUTCLIFFE DR, 5/26/11. An individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Destruction of Private Property, BEULAH ST / SILVER LAKE BLVD, 5/27/11. An individual reported that their tires had been slashed; three other vehicles were damaged as well.

Destruction of Private Property, BEULAH ST / SILVER LAKE BLVD, 5/27/11. An individual returned to her vehicle to find the two driver’s side tires slashed.

Destruction of Private Property, BEULAH ST / SILVER LAKE BLVD, 5/27/11. An individual returned to his vehicle to find three tires slashed.

Vehicle Tampering, 6900 BLOCK OF VICTORIA DR, 5/27/11. An individual returned to her vehicle to find the two passenger-side tires slashed.

Destruction of Private Property, 6000 BLOCK OF WENDRON WAY, 5/28/11. An individual returned to his vehicle to find that his passenger-side tires had been slashed in addition to the soft-top on the passenger-side.

Destruction of Private Property, HALTWHISTLE LN / LAKE VILLAGE DR, 5/28/11. An individual returned to his vehicle to find the two driver’s side tires slashed.

Destruction of Private Property, 6400 BLOCK OF SILVER RIDGE CIR, 5/28/11. An individual returned home to find that the glass of his storm door was shattered.

 

Franconia/Rose Hill

Destruction of Private Property, 6200 BLOCK OF LITTLE VALLEY WAY, 5/22/11. An individual reported that two suspect was attempting to break into his back door.

Disorderly Conduct, 6500 BLOCK OF SPRINGFIELD MALL, 5/22/11. Officers responded to a fight between multiple subjects at a restaurant.

Larceny, 5600 BLOCK OF TREMONT DR, 5/22/11. An individual reported that the tailgate to this vehicle was stolen.

Robbery, 6700 BLOCK OF COMMERCE ST, 5/22/11. An individual reported that, after giving a stranger a ride to a hotel, the stranger threatened the individual with his knife and took items of his clothing.

Auto Theft, 5700 BLOCK OF CANNON LN, 5/23/11. An individual reported that his vehicle, which had been left unlocked, was stolen from his driveway.

Burglary, 5900 BLOCK OF WILTON HILL TER, 5/23/11. An individual reported that his garage had been entered and three of his vehicles had been rummaged through; an Apple Mac Book was reported missing.

Destruction of Private Property, 3300 BLOCK OF DONA AVE, 5/23/11. An individual reported that he saw two suspects attempting to break into his truck. When an officer responded, two cargo doors had been damaged.

Larceny, 3600 BLOCK OF FRANCONIA RD, 5/23/11. An individual reported that her vehicles had been ransacked; coins were missing from both vehicles.

Larceny, 3300 BLOCK OF WILTON CREST CT, 5/23/11. An individual reported that her iPod Touch were stolen from her vehicle, which she had left unlocked.

Larceny, 5600 BLOCK OF GOVERNORS POND CIR, 5/23/11. An individual returned to her vehicle, which she had left unlocked, to find that cash, credit card, and a debit card were stolen.

Larceny, 5700 BLOCK OF CANNON LN, 5/23/11. An individual reported that two of her vehicles, which she had left unlocked, had been ransacked; cash and coins were stolen from both vehicles.

Larceny, 5700 BLOCK OF GOVERNORS POND CIR, 5/23/11. An individual returned to his vehicle, which he had left unlocked, to find that his iPhone had been stolen from his briefcase.

Larceny, 3800 BLOCK OF LAKOTA RD, 5/23/11. An individual reported that his vehicle, which he had left unlocked, had been broken into; a pair of sunglasses, an iPhone, and cash were stolen.

Larceny, 6400 BLOCK OF LOISDALE RD, 5/24/11. An individual reported that a suspect had broken into her vehicle and stolen cash; no additional damage to the vehicle.

Larceny, 5500 BLOCK OF FRANCONIA RD, 5/24/11. An individual filled up their gas tank and then left without paying.

Larceny, 5700 BLOCK OF TELEGRAPH RD, 5/24/11. An individual filled up their gas tank and then left without paying.

Larceny, 6800 BLOCK OF FRONTIER DR, 5/24/11. An individual returned to his vehicle to find that subwoofers, speakers, an amplifier, and a GPS unit were stolen from the vehicle.

Larceny, 4300 BLOCK OF GYPSY CT, 5/24/11. An individual reported that three of his bicycles were stolen from his residence.

Destruction of Private Property, 3700 BLOCK OF FORT HILL DR, 5/25/11. An individual reported that two large rocks had been thrown through his living room window and kitchen window. One of the rocks struck the drywall on the opposite side of the window and damaged it.

Destruction of Private Property, 3600 BLOCK OF OAKLAND DR, 5/25/11. An individual reported that his three master bathroom windows had been shattered by rocks, which were found inside the bathroom.

Larceny, 3500 BLOCK OF KINGS CROSS RD, 5/25/11. An individual discovered that his credit and debit card were stolen from his wallet, which had been left in his vehicle overnight.

Destruction of Private Property, 5700 BLOCK OF LA VISTA DR, 5/26/11. An individual reported that a suspect had shattered a storm door and broken a window.

Disorderly Conduct, 6300 BLOCK OF ROSE HILL DR, 5/26/11. The parent of an elementary school student became aggressive toward a school principal over a dress code issue.

Larceny, 6600 BLOCK OF SPRINGFIELD MALL, 5/26/11. An individual attempted to leave a department store without paying for merchandise.

Destruction of Private Property, 6300 BLOCK OF GROVEDALE DR, 5/27/11. An individual reported that her front glass door and window were smashed out by an individual with a baseball hat.

Driving While Intoxicated, I95 / OLD KEENE MILL RD, 5/28/11. An individual was discovered to be unconscious behind the wheel of a running vehicle.

 

East Springfield

Destruction of Private Property, 7300 BLOCK OF GATESIDE PL, 5/23/11. An individual returned to his vehicle to find the front passenger window shattered; nothing appeared to be missing.

Larceny, 6100 BLOCK OF AUGUSTA DR, 5/23/11. An individual returned to her vehicle to find the front passenger-side window had been shattered; items stolen included a green/black backpack, her wallet, and prescription eye glasses.

Robbery, 6800 BLOCK OF SPRINGFIELD BLVD, 5/23/11. An individual reported that she was assaulted by another female and that money was taken off of her person.

Destruction of Private Property, 6100 BLOCK OF AMHERST AVE, 5/26/11. An individual returned to her vehicle to find that her windshield had been shattered and her passenger-side tires deflated.

Drugs, 7200 BLOCK OF HOOES RD, 5/26/11. An individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Larceny, 6500 BLOCK OF AMHERST AVE, 5/26/11. An individual returned to her vehicle to find that the rear passenger-side wheel and tire had been removed; a jack was left to hold the vehicle up.

Larceny, 6300 BLOCK OF SPRINGFIELD PLZ, 5/27/11. An individual reported seeing two suspects loading boxes, which belonged to a local grocery store, in the back of a rental truck

 

Annandale/Bren Mar

Drugs, 6400 BLOCK OF GENERAL GREEN WAY, 5/22/11. An individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

 

Lorton

Destruction of Private Property, 9500 BLOCK OF RICHMOND HWY, 5/22/11. An individual reported that an angry customer had thrown a glass plate at a vehicle, which belonged to the owner/operator of a business.

Drugs, AMSTERDAM ST / GUNSTON COVE RD, 5/23/11. Following a traffic stop, an individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Larceny, 9700 BLOCK OF HAGEL CIR, 5/23/11. An individual reported that a suspect had entered his home and taken money from a dresser drawer.

Larceny, 10100 BLOCK OF GILES RUN RD, 5/24/11. A business owner reported that a dump truck and a flat-bed trailer were missing from his place of business.

Destruction of Private Property, 7900 BLOCK OF TIMARAND CT, 5/25/11. An individual returned to her vehicle to find the driver’s side mirror broken.

Burglary, 6900 BLOCK OF FARRCOVE CT, 5/27/11. An individual reported that her garage and back porch had been entered overnight; items had been taken.

Destruction of Private Property, 7500 BLOCK OF ASPENPARK RD, 5/27/11. An individual under the influence of alcohol crashed into a light pole.

Unauthorized Use of an Automobile, 9900 BLOCK OF RICHMOND HWY, 5/28/11. Two individuals attempted to steal a vehicle and then fled the scene on foot.
