Police Blotter: Porn at Edison High School

Police blotter from March 13 to 19

Along with the usual , the Franconia Police District has started issuing more detailed blotters that include some crimes that aren't included in the other report. We'll run the crimes from Kingstowne and the surrounding areas, and highlight the most notable ones at the top.

"Porn, 5800 Block of FRANCONIA RD, 3/16/11.  A student was found to have photographs of an underage female on his cell phone."

Franconia District spokesperson Officer Eduardo Azcarate Azcárate said no arrests were made and no charges were filed. The actual taking of the photography occurred in another state, Azcárate said.

Larceny, 6300 Block of MERIWETHER LN, 3/13/11. Individuals failed to pay taxi fare after being dropped.

 

KINGSTOWNE

Burglary, 7100 Block of ROCK RIDGE LN, 3/14/11. An individual returned home to find a rear patio door open, a closet door inside the apartment was open.  Jewelry was missing and drawers had been rummaged through.

Larceny, 7000 Block of MANCHESTER BLVD, 3/14/11. An individual left a grocery store without paying for items.

Larceny, 6900 Block of HILL PARK DR, 3/14/11. An individual found that his trailer winch was stolen.

Porn, 5800 Block of FRANCONIA RD, 3/16/11.  A student was found to have photographs of an underage female on his cell phone.

Destruction of Private Property, 6600 Block of SOUTH VAN DORN ST, 3/18/11. After a dispute over a parking space, an individual returned to his vehicle to find a scratch down the passenger side of the vehicle.

Fraud, 7400 Block of DUNNINGTON PL, 3/19/11. An individual reported that someone had accessed her bank account and transferred a large amount of money from her savings to her checking account, ordered checks, and then cashed a check. 

Larceny, 6300 Block of BEULAH ST, 3/19/11. An individual reported her son’s bicycle stolen from outside of a restaurant.

Solicitation, 7100 Block of ROCK RIDGE LN, 3/19/11. Two individual were soliciting magazines around an apartment complex without a license.

 

FRANCONIA/ROSE HILL

Larceny, 6300 Block of MERIWETHER LN, 3/13/11. Individuals failed to pay taxi fare after being dropped.

Larceny, 6400 Block of WILLOWOOD LN, 3/13/11. Cash and receipts stolen from an individual’s vehicle; no damage to the vehicle.

Larceny, 6700 Block of JEROME ST, 3/13/11. A game console and a laptop were stolen from a home; no sign of forced entry.

Larceny, 6800 Block of FRONTIER DR, 3/13/11. A bicycle was stolen from a bike rack where it was locked.

Larceny, 6100 Block of FRANCONIA RD, 3/14/11. After accidentally leaving a backpack with a cell phone in a gas station waiting area, an individual returned to find his phone stolen.

Burglary, 5800 Block of PIEDMONT DR, 3/15/11. An individual returned home to find his laptop and some other items had been stolen.  His dog, which is normally confined to the backyard, was in the front yard.  No signs of forced entry.

Destruction of Public Property, FLEET DR / FRANCONIA RD, 3/15/11. An individual was found drawing graffiti beneath a bridge.

Larceny, 6600 Block of SPRINGFIELD MALL, 3/15/11. Two individual stole merchandise from store.

Larceny, 6500 Block of SPRINGFIELD MALL, 3/16/11. An individual purchased several jewelry items and placed them on the counter; shortly after she noticed that they were missing.

Auto Theft, 6700 Block of METROPOLITAN CENTER DR, 3/17/11. An individual’s motorcycle was stolen from his parking space.

Drugs, 5500 Block of LA VISTA DR, 3/17/11.  Following a report of a suspicious vehicle, an individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Burglary, 6500 Block of SPRINGFIELD MALL, 3/18/11. A sports store was broken into; no signs of forced entry.  Cash was taken from register.

Larceny, 5600 Block of VINE ST, 3/18/11. An individual came to claim his towed vehicle and drove away without paying the towing and storage fee.

Larceny, 6500 Block of LOISDALE CT, 3/18/11. An individual reported her U.S. passport stolen from her hotel room.

Destruction of Private Property, 6600 Block of SPRINGFIELD MALL, 3/19/11. An individual used a box cutter to cut into the packaging of a cell phone at a store.

Drugs, FRONTIER DR / SPRING MALL RD, 3/19/11. Following a traffic stop, an individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Larceny, 6600 Block of SPRINGFIELD MALL, 3/19/11. An individual dropped her wallet in a department store and, although someone had returned the wallet to a register, the cash in the wallet had been stolen.

Larceny, 6400 Block of SPRINGFIELD MALL, 3/19/11. Department store security cameras identified an individual attempting to shoplift items.

Larceny, 6900 Block of BEULAH ST, 3/19/11. An individual reported that his bike had been stolen from his porch.

 

EAST SPRINGFIELD

Drunk in Public, 6400 Block of BRANDON AVE, 3/13/11. Following a report of a suspicious person acting in an irresponsible manner, an individual was found to be under the influence of alcohol.

Larceny, 7200 Block of OLD KEENE MILL RD, 3/13/11. Individual stole items from a convenience store and ran out.

Drugs, BACKLICK RD / COMMERCE ST, 3/14/11. Following a traffic stop, an individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Drugs, 7700 Block of SOUTHERN DR, 3/16/11. After approaching a stopped vehicle, the driver admitted to having marijuana in the vehicle.

Drugs, 6200 Block of AMHERST AVE, 3/16/11. Following a traffic stop, an individual was found to be in possession of narcotics.

Destruction of Public Property, 7400 Block of FLOYD AVE, 3/18/11. Spray paint was identified on pavilion walls of a local park.

Larceny, 6500 Block of BACKLICK RD, 3/19/11. An individual’s purse, which contained a cell phone, car keys, house keys, and various toiletries, had been stolen from underneath a bar stool at a restaurant.

 

EDSALL/BREN MAR

Drugs, JOHN MARR DR / RAVENSWORTH RD, 3/13/11. Following a traffic stop, an individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Larceny, 5600 Block of BLOOMFIELD DR, 3/13/11. A government identification card was stolen from a vehicle.

Drugs, 7000 Block of SKYLES WAY, 3/14/11. Following a report of a noise violation, an individual was found to be in possession of a narcotic.

Larceny, 6200 Block of SPLIT CREEK LN, 3/14/11. Individual returned to his vehicle to find it ransacked and GPS stolen; no signs of forced entry or damage.

Larceny, 5700 Block of INDEPENDENCE CIR, 3/14/11. Items were stolen from unlocked vehicle; no damage to vehicle.

Destruction of Public Property, 7000 Block of LITTLE RIVER TPKE, 3/15/11. Graffiti identified in bathroom at library.

Larceny, 6200 Block of MASEFIELD CT, 3/15/11. A GPS was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in driveway.

Larceny, 7200 Block of HANSFORD CT, 3/15/11. Items were stolen from an individual’s house after house-sitters invited a friend over.

Larceny, 5000 Block of DODSON DR, 3/15/11. An individual returned to his vehicle to find that the driver’s side door lock was damaged and the cage that separates the cab from the cargo area was cut and removed.  Additional items were missing.

 Unauthorized Use of an Automobile, 5600 Block of ASBURY CT, 3/16/11. An individual reported that her husband had taken her vehicle and had not returned.

 Auto Theft, 6200 Block of EDSALL RD, 3/18/11. An individual returned to his vehicle to find it missing from his resident parking space.

Destruction of Private Property, 5100 Block of KENWOOD DR, 3/18/11. An individual returned to his vehicle to find that the rear window had been struck and the windshield was cracked.  The car did not appear to have been entered; nothing appeared to be missing.

Drugs, 7000 Block of LEEWOOD FOREST DR, 3/18/11. A parent reported their son’s marijuana paraphernalia after the son was found to be skipping school.

Larceny, 6700 Block of LITTLE RIVER TPKE, 3/18/11. A wallet containing identification, credit and debit cards, and cash was stolen from the back room of a business.
