Police: Man Inappropriately Touches Woman in Springfield

The latest daily activity report provided by the Fairfax County Police Department on Nov. 4. Mentioned arrests do not indicate convictions.

The following are incidents reported in the Franconia District according to the Fairfax County Police's daily activity report, released Monday.

Sex Offense (red on map), 10:30 a.m., Nov. 2, Alamo Street/Cimarron Street, A woman was walking when a man approached and inappropriately touched her. He fled and she was not injured.
In separate and unrelated incidents:
Unlawful Entry/ABC Violation (yellow on map), 1:23 a.m., Nov. 2, 5800 block of Brookview Drive, Police responded for a report of multiple individuals inside a vacant home.

In the process of clearing the house of trespassers, several individuals were charged. Erica Benitez, 19, was charged with underage possession of alcohol. Lawrence Saunders, 18, was charged with underage possession of alcohol. John Chandler, 18, was charged with underage possession of alcohol. Travon Reed, 19, was charged with underage possession of alcohol. Malik Benton, 19, was charged with obstruction of justice.

Larcenies (blue on map):

  • 6500 block of Byron Avenue, purse from vehicle
  • 6500 block of Franconia Road, wallet from vehicle
  • 5900 block of Highdale Circle, license plates from vehicle
  • 5800 block of Kingstowne Boulevard, clothing from business
  • 7100 block of Silver Lake Boulevard, license plate from vehicle
No vehicles were reported stolen at the time.
