Police Release Anti-Speeding Campaign Results

"50 Means 50" targeted speeders on the Fairfax County Parkway

Officers at the Franconia District Station have released the results of the "50 Means 50" anti-speeding campaign, which resulted in over 380 vehicles being pulled over.

, which targeted speeders on the Fairfax County Parkway, began on April 24.

In the first week, 173 warnings or tickets were issued, according to Franconia District spokesperson Officer Eduardo Azcarate. In the second week, there were 207 warnings or tickets, for a total of 380 contacts in two weeks.

Azcarate declined to provide more specific numbers about the breakdown between tickets and warnings.

These numbers do not include warnings or tickets issued by Fairfax County police working on the program in other police districts.
