Police Report: Armed Robberies on Edsall, Van Dorn

Indecent exposure at Lee District Park, cars stolen on Telegraph Road.

Every week, the Franconia District Police Station releases a report of the major incidents that occur in the district, which includes the greater Rose Hill area, from the previous week. Here are the incidents that occurred from October 13 to October 19. Keep in mind that these are reported incidents. A crime did not necessarily occur.

Robbery

Police are investigating a robbery that occurred Sunday, October 9. The two suspects demanded money from the 27-year-old store clerk and one of the suspects displayed a gun. The victim complied and both suspects fled. The victim did not require medical attention. The suspects were described as black and 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet 2 inches tall.

Indecent Exposure

 inside the Lee District Rec Center, 6601 Telegraph Road, around 8:15 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 14.

Robbery

A man and a teenaged girl robbed a 59-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman at gunpoint in the 5900 block of Founders Hill Drive around 1:35 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 17. The suspects were described as black. The male suspect was between 22 and 25 years old, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and 165 pounds. His face was covered and he was wearing a dark-colored hoodie with a plaid shirt underneath and tennis shoes. The female was about 16 years old, 5 feet 2 inches tall and 110 pounds. She was wearing a gray, knit cap, a dark-colored sweat jacket, blue jeans and tennis shoes. The victims were not injured. 

Vehicle Thefts

A Toyota Carolla was reported stolen from the 5800 block of Brindle Heath Way.

A 2007 Toyota RAV4 was reported stolen from the 6500 block of Franconia Road.

A 2008 Ford Expedition was reported stolen from the 5900 block of Telegraph Road.

A 2010 Cadillac Escalade was reported stolen from the 6600 block of Telegraph Road.

Larcenies

A purse was stolen from a vehicle on the 5500 block of Franconia Road.

A purse was stolen from a vehicle on the 6100 block of Franconia Road.
