Police Report: April 13-20, 2011

A summary of the criminal activity in the greater Rose Hill area

Every week, the Franconia District Police Station releases a report of the major incidents that occur in the district, which includes the greater Rose Hill area, from the previous week. Here are the incidents that occurred from April 13 to April 20. Keep in mind that these are reported incidents. A crime did not necessarily occur.

Attempted Robbery/Arrest

Police arrested a man for attempting to rob three people in the 5800 block of Kingstowne Boulevard around 9:28 a.m. on Monday, April 18. Police located the suspect nearby standing with a 16-year-old boy. Leon T. Prince, 43, of 6100 Essex House Square #A in Alexandria, was charged with three counts of attempted robbery and one count of resisting arrest.

The juvenile was charged with possession of marijuana and released to a family member. The three victims, an 18-year-old man, a 15-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy, did not require medical treatment.

Vehicle Thefts

A 2000 Mitsubishi Montero was reported stolen from the 5500 block of Harvey Lane.

Larcenies

Medication was stolen from a residence on the 6300 block of Alderman Drive.

Tools were stolen from a vehicle on the 5600 block of Asbury Court. 

Copper was stolen from a construction site on the 5700 block of General Washington Drive.

A wallet was stolen from a vehicle on the 6000 block of Keble Drive.

Four tires were stolen from a vehicle on the 6000 block of Palladium Court.

A GPS unit was stolen from the 7200 block of Worsley Way.
