Police Report: Burglaries in Bush Hill, Houses Egged

A person also got out of his car and smashed another car's window at a traffic light

In addition to the , the  has started issuing more detailed blotters that feature some crimes that aren't included in the other weekly incident summary. We'll run the crimes from the greater Rose Hill area and highlight the most notable ones at the top.

Burglary:  On April 26, an individual reported that her home on the 5900 block of Westchester Street had been broken into. A lap top computer, net book, camcorder, digital camera, and jewelry were stolen. Police are asking for the public's help in finding . 

Burglary:  On April 29, an individual reported that his home on the 5400 block of Waycross Drive had been broken into. Two lap top computers were stolen. The suspect in the burglary above is also being sought in relation to this incident.

Egging: On April 19, a man reported that his home on the 5100 block of Ballycastle Circle had been egged for the fourth time. A woman on the same block reported that her house had been egged as well.

Car Punched at Red Light: On April 20, a driver stopped at a light, left his car and punched in another vehicle's driver side window.

Rose Hill/Franconia

Larceny:  On April 17, an individual reported that her iPod and Zune were stolen from her hotel room on the 6500 block of Loisdale Road.

Larceny:  On April 18, a suspect attempted to steal merchandise from a department store on the 6600 block of Springfield Mall without paying.

Larceny:  On April 18, an individual returned to his vehicle on the 6100 block of Dew Grass Drive to find the driver’s side door ajar; several tools were missing.

Larceny:  On April 18, an individual reported that a digital camera had been stolen from an office on the 6500 block of Loisdale Road.

Larceny:  On April 19, an individual attempted to take two Blu-Ray DVDs from a store on the 6500 block of Frontier Drive without paying.

Larceny:  On April 20, an individual reported that her construction debris had been stolen from her home on the 3700 block of Franconia Road.

Larceny:  On April 20, an individual reported that he left his iPhone on a bench on the 6500 block of Gildar Street for a few moments and returned to find it stolen.

Larceny:  On April 20, an individual attempted to take items from a store on the 6600 block of Springfield Mall without paying for them.

Burglary:  On April 21, an individual’s home on the 5900 block of Crown Royal Drive had been broken into and the front door had been kicked in.

Larceny:  On April 22, several individuals were stopped on the 6100 block of Darleon Place and were in possession of multiple GPS units and items that indicated theft from vehicles.

Unauthorized Use of an Automobile:  On April 22, an officer came upon an unoccupied vehicle in the middle of the road near the 6200 block of Traci Joyce Lane. The car had a door ajar, and after speaking with the owner, the officer learned that a suspect had found the spare key and driven the vehicle from the owner’s driveway.

Burglary:  On April 24, an individual returned home on the 6600 block of Zephyr Lane to find her front door open and that her wedding rings were missing.

Larceny:  On April 24, an individual’s bicycle was stolen from his second story balcony on the 5900 block of Coverdale Way.

Larceny:  On April 24, several individuals were reportedly taking tools out of a pickup truck and trailer in a motel parking lot on the 5700 block of South Van Dorn Street.

Larceny:  On April 25, an individual exited a store on the 6600 block of the Springfield Mall without paying for merchandise .

Larceny:  On April 25, an individual attempted to exit a store on the 6600 block of the Springfield Mall without paying for merchandise.

Larceny:  On April 25, a store manager reported a theft on the 6700 block of the Springfield Mall that had taken place the day before, which was captured on video camera.

Burglary:  On April 26, an individual reported that her home on the 5900 block of Westchester Street had been broken into. A lap top computer, net book, camcorder, digital camera, and jewelry were stolen.

Destruction of Private Property: On April 26, an individual returned to his vehicle on the 6500 block of Franconia Road to find that the window had been smashed out.

Drugs:  On April 26, an individual was determined to be in possession of marijuana on the 6000 block of Deer Ridge Trail.

Larceny:  On April 26, an individual attempted to exit a store on the 6600 block of the Springfield Mall without paying for merchandise.

Larceny:  On April 26, an individual returned to her vehicle on the 6500 block of Franconia Road to find the front, passenger-side window had been smashed and her purse had been stolen.

Drugs:  On April 27, an individual was found to be in possession of marijuana on the 6700 block of Metropolitan Center Drive.

Larceny:  On April 27, an individual’s bike was stolen from his front yard on the 5900 block of Dove Drive.

Larceny:  On April 28, four individuals attempted to exit a store on the 6600 block of the Springfield Mall without paying for merchandise.

Burglary:  On April 29, an individual reported that his home on the 5400 block of Waycross Drive had been broken into. Two lap top computers were stolen.

Larceny:  On April 29, an individual exited a store on the 6600 block of the Springfield Mall without paying for merchandise.

Larceny:  On April 29, an individual reported that his trailer on the 3600 block of Elmwood Drive was broken into and items were stolen.

Drugs:  Following a traffic stop at the intersection of Frontier Drive and Springfield Mall Road, an individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Forgery:  On April 30, an individual attempted to use a counterfeit $100 bill at a department store on the 6400 block of the Springfield Mall. 

Vehicle Tampering:  On April 30, an individual reported that her vehicle had been keyed the night before on the 5900 block of Kimberly Anne Way.
