Police Report: Drugs, Vehicle Damages and More

Here are the incidents that were included in the Franconia District Crime Summary for the week of Aug. 12-18:  

Police Service Area 610

• Destruction of Property, 7000 block of Brookfield Plaza, Aug. 12, 2012. A vehicle’s tires were slashed.
• Destruction of Property, 7300 block of Highland Street, Aug. 12, 2012. Nine vehicles belonging to a business had tires flattened.
• Larceny, 6800 block of Springfield Boulevard Aug. 12, 2012. An individual exited a taxicab without paying the fare.
• Larceny, 6600 block of Electronic Drive, Aug. 12, 2012. License plates were stolen from a business vehicle.
• Destruction of Property, 7300 block of Fountain Spring Court, Aug. 13, 2012. A home was egged.
• Destruction of Property, 6800 block of Industrial Road, Aug. 13, 2012. The roof of a vehicle appeared intentionally scratched.
• Drugs, 7800 Block of Lake Accotink Access Road, Aug. 13, 2012. An individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.
• Drugs, 6900 Block of Cabin John Road, Aug. 13, 2012. An individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.
• Larceny, Backlick Road/Spring Garden Drive, Aug. 13, 2012. A cell phone was stolen after being left in a business.
• Destruction of Property, 7500 block of Accotink Park Road, Aug. 14, 2012. Graffiti was left on a foot bridge in a park.
• Destruction of Property, 7200 block of Calamot Street, Aug. 15, 2012. A home was egged.
• Drugs, 5800 block of Backlick Road, Aug. 15, 2012. An individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.
• Destruction of Property, 6500 block of Backlick Road, Aug. 16, 2012. The glass door to a business was shattered.
• Destruction of Property, Bethnal Road/Caton Woods Court, Aug. 16, 2012. An apartment complex’s signage was spray painted with black paint.
• Destruction of Property, 6600 block of New Hope Drive, Aug. 16, 2012. A political sign was spray painted with black paint.
• Drugs, 7200 block of Wesley Road, Aug. 17, 2012. An individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.
• Larceny, 6000 block of Amherst Avenue, Aug. 17, 2012. A vehicle was broken into; tools were stolen.
• Destruction of Property, 7200 block of Commerce Street, Aug. 18, 2012. A vehicle’s passenger side mirror was broken and hanging from the vehicle.

Police Service Area 620

• Larceny, 6100 block of Pioneer Drive, Aug. 12, 2012. A mountain bike was stolen from a backyard and replaced with one with a flat tire.
• Robbery, 6500 block of Springfield Mall, Aug. 13, 2012. Shoplifting. 
• Drugs, 5100 block of Franconia Road, Aug. 13, 2012. An individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.
• Drugs, Intersate 95 northboudn ramp to I-95 nourthbound/Old Keen Mill Road eastbound to I-95 northboud, Aug. 13, 2012. An individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.
• Larceny, 6600 block of Springfield Mall, Aug. 13, 2012. Shoplifting.
• Larceny, 6600 block of Frontier Drive, Aug. 13, 2012. Attempted shoplifting.
• Counterfeiting/Forgery, 6800 block of Frontier Drive, Aug. 14, 2012. An individual was found to be in possession of counterfeit $20 bills.
• Drugs, 5900 block of Clermont Drive, Aug. 14, 2012. An individual was found to be in possession of synthetic drugs.
• Destruction of Property, China Grove Court/Flat Rock Court, Aug. 16, 2012. Graffiti was left on the wall of a drainage ditch.
• Destruction of Property, 6300 block of Grovedale Drive, Aug. 17, 2012. A vehicle’s window was broken.
• Drugs, 5700 block of Oak Hill Place, Aug. 17, 2012. An individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.
• Destruction of Property, 3000 block of Elmwood Drive, Aug. 18, 2012. Graffiti was left on a power box.
• Larceny, 6800 block of Junction Boulevard, Aug. 18, 2012. Two individuals failed to pay their taxicab fee.

Police Service Area 630

• Larceny, 6800 block of Ericka Avenue, Aug. 12, 2012. Two unattended and unlocked bikes were stolen from a parking space.
• Destruction of Property, 6600 block of Winstead Manor Court, Aug. 13, 2012. A vehicle was egged.
• Destruction of Property, 6600 block of Winstead Manor Court, Aug. 13, 2012. A home was egged.
• Larceny, 5800 block of Kingstowne Boulevard, Aug. 13, 2012. An unattended cell phone was stolen from a bathroom.
• Drugs, Celtic Drive/Rose Hill Drive, Aug. 14, 2012. An individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.
• Larceny, 7000 block of Darby Towne Court, Aug. 14, 2012. A lug nut was stolen off of a vehicle.
• Destruction of Property, 7800 block of Worthing Court, Aug. 15, 2012. Two rear vehicle tires were punctured.
• Burglary/Breaking & Entering, 6100 block of Old Brentford Court, Aug. 16, 2012. Cash was stolen off of an individual’s countertop, where it was left for a contractor.
• Destruction of Property, 8100 block of Cinder Bed Road, Aug. 16 2012. A vehicle window was broken; nothing appeared to have been stolen.
• Fraud, 6500 block of Landsdowne Court, Aug. 16, 2012. A wallet was stolen from a break room and credit cards were charged.
