Police Report: February 17 - March 2

A summary of criminal activity in the greater Rose Hill area

Every week, the Franconia District Police Station releases a report of the major incidents that occur in the district, which includes the greater Rose Hill area, from the previous week. Here are the incidents that occurred from February 17-March 2. Keep in mind that these are reported incidents. A crime did not necessarily occur.

Grand Larceny/Arrest

Police two men for stealing a 2001 Ford pickup truck from the 6100 block of Hibbling Avenue around 5 a.m. on Thursday, February 17.

Fatal Crash

A 21-year-old man was Saturday, February 19 following a single vehicle crash that took place in the 5200 block of Franconia Road on Tuesday, February 15.

Robbery

Three men robbed a 17-year-old boy of his jacket near the intersection of Kingstowne Village Parkway and South Van Dorn Street around 4 p.m. on Tuesday, February 22. The suspects were described as black, between 18 and 20 years old and about 5 feet 9 inches. tall and 170 pounds. One suspect was wearing a tan shirt, peach-colored pants and sneakers. The other two suspects were wearing dark-colored clothing.

Robbery

A 39-year-old man was robbed at knifepoint around 10:23 p.m. on Sunday February 27. The suspect was described as Hispanic, about 20 years old, 5 feet 6 inches tall and 140 pounds, with black hair. The victim was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Vehicle Thefts

A 1999 Toyota Camry was stolen from the 5600 block of Vine Street.

A 1998 Buick Century was also stolen from the 5600 block of Vine Street. 

Larcenies

A wallet was stolen from a vehicle on the 6100 block of Franconia Road.

Tires were stolen from a vehicle on the 6600 block of The Parkway.

A dolly was stolen from a residence on the 6100 block of Franconia Road. 

A wallet was stolen from a business on the 6300 block of Franconia Road.

Shoes were stolen from a business on the 6000 block of Rose Hill drive. 

A wallet was stolen from a business on the 6600 block of Telegraph Road. 

Copper and brass were stolen from a business on the 5400 block of Vine Street.
