Police Report: Knife at Edison High School

Marijuana also found during a traffic stop at Franconia Road and S Van Dorn Street

In addition to the , the  has started issuing more detailed blotters that feature some crimes that aren't included in the other weekly incident summary. We'll run the crimes from the greater Rose Hill area and highlight the most notable ones at the top.

Weapon Brandishing: Last week's blotter featured an individual brandishing a weapon over a parking spot at Springfield Mall. According to Franconia District spokesperson Officer Eduardo Azcarate, police eventually determined there was no brandishing.

"Alyssa" Graffiti: Police reported two instances of "RIP Alyssa" graffiti. According to Azcarate, the cases were closed after the graffiti was removed and the police ran out of leads.

Notable

Fraud: On March 21 in Springfield Plaza, an individual was sold a fake iPhone and portable video camera.

Disorderly Conduct: An intoxicated person ran onto a soccer field at Lee High School during a game, screaming curse words, on March 22.

Destruction: Graffiti reading "Life is good" and "RIP Alyssa" appeared on March 21 on a fence in the 5900 block of Wivenhoe Court.

Weapons: On March 24, at Edison High School, a student reported seeing another student with a red folding knife. The student was also carrying two lighters.

Disorderly Conduct: A student from another school began yelling obscenities at the school security specialist, at a school on the 7600 block of Telegraph Road on March 25.

Franconia and Rose Hill 

Fraud:  On March 20, an individual found that she was no longer in possession of her debit card at Springfield Mall. card was used to make numerous unauthorized purchases.

Larceny:  On March 21 an individual attempted to steal items from a store on the 6600 block of the Springfield Mall.

Disorderly Conduct: On March 22, an intoxicated individual ran onto a soccer field on the 6500 block of Franconia Road screaming curse words while a game was in progress.

Larceny: On March 22, an individual returned to a vehicle on the 5900 block of Coverdale Way to find it up on blocks. All four tires and four rims had been stolen.

Drugs: Following a report of two students skipping school and a consensual search on March 23, marijuana was found on the 5500 block of Franconia Road.

Stolen Property: On March 24, an individual attempted to pawn a GPS unit that had been stolen from a vehicle on the 6100 block of Franconia Road earlier this month in Fredericksburg, Va.

Burglary: On March 25, an individual reported that his locked garage on the 4400 block of Roundhill Road had been entered and tools had been stolen.

Destruction of Private Property: On March 26, an individual heard a noise in another room of her residence on the 3400 block of Burgundy Road. It appeared that a window had been struck and damaged by a paintball.

Drugs: On March 26, following a traffic stop at the intersection of Franconia Road and South Van Dorn, an individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.
