Police Report: Larcenies, Vehicle Theft from Hotel

Here are the incidents that were included in the Franconia District Crime Summary for the week of June 17-23: 

Police Service Area 610

• Destruction of Property, 6000 Block of AMHERST AVE, 6/17/12. Tires on a vehicle were the side mirror was also damaged.
• Destruction of Property, 6800 Block of BACKLICK RD, 6/17/12. The passenger windows of three vehicles were smashed.
• Destruction of Property, 6700 Block of BACKLICK RD, 6/17/12. The passenger window of a vehicle was smashed.
• Destruction of Property, 6600 Block of BACKLICK RD, 6/17/12. The driver’s side windows of two vehicles were smashed.
• Larceny, 6300 Block of SPRINGFIELD PLZ, 6/17/12. The victim met with the suspect to purchase IPhone cell phones.  After the exchange took place, the victim realized that the cell phones were not IPhones.
• Larceny, 5800 Block of HANOVER AVE, 6/17/12. An iPhone was stolen during a party from the residence.
• Larceny, 7000 Block of SPRING GARDEN DR, 6/18/12. A unattended wallet was stolen from a business.
• Robbery, 6800 Block of COMMERCE ST, 6/18/12.  Suspect approached the victim and demanded money. Suspect implied a knife but it was not seen.
• Destruction of Property, 5800 Block of CHANNING RD, 6/19/12. Several windows from a vehicle were smashed with a brick.
• Larceny, 7100 Block of OLD KEENE MILL RD, 6/20/12. An iPhone was stolen.
• Larceny, 6500 Block of BACKLICK RD, 6/20/12. Purse stolen from restaurant.
• Burglary/Breaking & Entering, 7400 Block of HIGHLAND ST, 6/21/12. Pool employees discovered all of the chairs, the lifeguard stand, and other debris in the pool.
• Drug Violation, 6800 Block of SPRINGFIELD BLVD, 6/22/12. An individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.
• Larceny, 6300 Block of SPRINGFIELD PLZ, 6/22/12. Attempted shoplifting.
• Destruction of Property, 7100 Block of BEVERLY PARK DR, 6/23/12. Property damaged by an acquaintance.
• Destruction of Property, 7500 Block of JUNE ST, 6/23/12. Driver’s side door of the vehicle damaged.
• Destruction of Property, 7000 Block of BROOKFIELD PLZ, 6/23/12. Window to the restaurant smashed.
• Destruction of Property, 6400 Block of BACKLICK RD, 6/23/12. Vehicle damaged with a cinderblock.
• Larceny, 6400 Block of BRANDON AVE, 6/23/12. Cell phone stolen.

Police Service Area 620

• Larceny, 6100 Block of FRANCONIA RD, 6/18/12. Attempted shoplifting.
• Larceny, 5900 Block of CRAFT RD, 6/18/12. Jewelry stolen from a residence.
• Larceny, 6600 Block of SPRINGFIELD MALL, 6/18/12. Three individuals attempted shoplifting.
• Larceny, 6100 Block of DEW GRASS DR, 6/19/12. An officer came upon a person sitting inside a vehicle belonging to another not known to him.
• Larceny, 5700 Block of SOUTH VAN DORN ST, 6/19/12. Vent window stolen from a vehicle.
• Larceny, 6800 Block of FRONTIER DR, 6/20/12. Suspect refused to pay for a taxicab fare.
• Destruction of Property, 5900 Block of MONTELL DR, 6/21/12. Object was thrown through the first floor window of the residence.
• Drug Violation, 6400 Block of SPRINGFIELD MALL, 6/21/12. An individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.
• Larceny, 6600 Block of SPRINGFIELD MALL, 6/21/12. Three individuals attempted shoplifting.
• Destruction of Property, 6200 Block of LARKSPUR DR, 6/22/12.  A vehicle was keyed in the parking lot.
• Drug Violation, 6400 Block of SPRINGFIELD MALL, 6/22/12. An individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.
• Larceny, 6500 Block of LOISDALE RD, 6/22/12. The front grills of two vehicles were stolen and the locks to the front doors were also damaged.
• Larceny, 6600 Block of SPRINGFIELD MALL, 6/22/12. Attempted shoplifting.
• Larceny, 6600 Block of SPRINGFIELD MALL, 6/22/12. Attempted shoplifting.
• Larceny, 6400 Block of SPRINGFIELD MALL, 6/22/12. Three individuals shoplifted.
• Destruction of Property, 3800 Block of JAVINS DR, 6/23/12. A candle was ignited on the front porch of the residence, causing damage the front door.
• Destruction of Property, 6700 Block of LOISDALE RD, 6/23/12. The driver’s side window of a vehicle was smashed with a rock.
• Motor Vehicle Theft, 6700 Block of COMMERCE ST, 6/23/12. A vehicle was stolen from the hotel parking lot.

Police Service Area 630

• Weapon Law Violation, KINGSTOWNE VILLAGE PKWY / SOUTH VAN DORN ST, 6/18/12. A bottle was thrown at a moving vehicle.
• Destruction of Property, 6900 Block of BANCHORY CT, 6/19/12. A vehicle was broken into and vandalized.
• Destruction of Property, 7500 Block of ASHBY LN, 6/20/12. An individual reported that a vehicle was sprayed with white paint.
• Larceny, 7800 Block of MORNING VIEW LN, 6/20/12. A ipod was stolen from an unattended backpack in a play area.
• Larceny, 6700 Block of CARDINAL WOODS CT, 6/22/12. An individual failed to pay her taxicab fare.
