Every week, the Franconia District Police Station releases a report of the major incidents that occur in the district, which includes the greater Rose Hill area, from the previous week. Here are the incidents that occurred from May 5 to May 11. Keep in mind that these are reported incidents. A crime did not necessarily occur.
Update: Fatal Crash/Arrest
Police additionally charged Joseph Shuttleworth, 21, of 6245 Lewin Drive, Alexandria, with on Thursday, May 5. Shuttleworth was that took place on Tuesday, February 15, that resulted in the death of Adrian Cardozo of 3506 Elmwood Drive.

Vehicle Thefts
A 1995 Honda Accord was reported stolen from the 6000 block of Chicory Place.

A 2005 Jeep Cherokee was reported stolen from the 5600 block of Vine Street.
Larcenies
A cell phone was stolen from a school on the 6100 block of Franconia Road.
Two powered hand tamps were stolen from a construction site on the 3400 block of Tennessee Drive.
