Police Report: Robbery on Telegraph Road, Bank Robbery in Kingstowne

Burglary on Coverdale Way, Honda stolen in Kingstowne.

Every week, the Franconia District Police Station releases a report of the major incidents that occur in the district, which includes the greater Rose Hill area, from the previous week. Here are the incidents that occurred from July 14 to July 20. 

Keep in mind that these are reported incidents. A crime did not necessarily occur.

Burglary

A home in the 5900 block of Coverdale Way was burglarized on Thursday, July 14 some time between 7:30 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. An investigation determined entry was forced through a door and nothing appeared to be missing.

A woman entered the Apple Federal Credit Union, located at 6831 Sir Viceroy Drive, and demanded money from a teller around 12:30 p.m. on Friday, July 15. The teller, a 22-year-old woman, complied and the suspect fled on foot. The suspect was described as black, in her 40s and about 5 feet 5 inches tall, with a heavy build. She was wearing an oversized dark blue shirt, blue jeans and a dark-colored hat.

Robbery

Three males attempted to rob a 20-year-old man in the 6100 block of Telegraph Road around 3:15 p.m. on Monday, July 18. The suspects were described as black, wearing black skull caps, jeans and white tank tops; they were all riding bicycles. The victim was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Vehicle Thefts

A 2011 Honda Pilot was reported stolen from the 6700 block of Lake Village Drive. 

Larcenies

Gasoline was stolen from a business on the 6200 block of Franconia Road.

Lumber was stolen from a residence on the 6000 block of Kathmoor Drive.

A license plate was stolen from a vehicle on the 6200 block of Rose Hill Court.

A diamond ring was stolen from a business on the 6400 block of Springfield Mall.

Cash was stolen from a business on the 6500 block of Springfield Mall.

A license plate was stolen from a vehicle on the 7300 block of Telegraph Square Drive.
