Fairfax County police searched a massage parlor near Edsall Road last month, after employees there said the parlor operated as a sex business.
The Red Pillow massage parlor, located at 5501 Cherokee Ave., was initially inspected on March 6 for allegedly violating county rules on therapy licenses. During the visit, two employees told inspectors that they offered full body massages to customers, while one employee said that employees stood next to customers while the customers masturbated.
An inspector also found a used condom during the visit. According to employees, after a customer paid them, they would take the money, put it in an envelope, and slip the envelope into a slot in a safe. At the end of the week, a man known only to employees as "Omar" would pay them a percentage of the money, according to police documents.
On March 21, a Fairfax County Police Department officer filed a search warrant for the safe, requesting it because the safe was believed to contain documents about prostitution. After a search on March 26, police discovered that the safe contained white envelopes, unused condoms, and $2,400.
An online ad posted two months ago offered a "sensual body-rub" at the Red Pillow for $120 an hour, or $90 for a half-hour.
"RED PILLOW HAS A VARIETY OF GIRLS FOR YOU TO PICK FROM," the ad reads. "WE HAVE LATINA, EUROPEAN, AMERICAN."
The ad also touts the business's discreet location.
