Arlington police charged Franklin earlier this month with rape, robbery and forcible sodomy, according to a news release. The charges stem from a December 2012 incident in which investigators say Franklin forced a woman he hired online to perform sex acts at gunpoint.

Franklin, of Woodbridge, is awaiting trial in Fairfax County on the January charges, the release states.
