Police: Sex Offense Charges for Fairfax Schools Technology Specialist

District doesn't believe he had on-the-job interaction with children.

A Fairfax County Public Schools employee has been charged with attempting to take indecent liberties with children under 15 years old and with the use of communication systems to facilitate certain offense involving children.

On Tuesday, Fairfax County Police arrested Patrick Wietz, 24, of the 9200 block of Rockefeller Lane, according to a news release.

Wietz has been employed as an IT specialist by the Fairfax County Public School system full-time for approximately two years, according to police, but he did not have a reason to interact with children during his job.
