Springfield Man Charged in Sex Crimes Investigation

Detectives would like to hear from anyone who might have information regarding this case, or any other case involving alleged child sexual exploitation.

Fairfax County Police said Thursday a Springfield man has been charged in a sex crimes investigation.

An arrest was made as a result of an ongoing investigation conducted by detectives from the Child Exploitation Unit along with agents from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE), Homeland Security Investigations (HIS) Washington. 

Kenneth A. Brauckmann, 50, of Springfield was arrested and charged by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia, Alexandria Division, with coercion and enticement of a minor to engage in illegal sexual activity.

It is alleged that Brauckmann was using online chat rooms to attempt to solicit and entice young girls for sex.
