Teen Robbed Near Kingstowne Towne Center

Police expect charges to be filed soon

Fairfax County police say they have identified the suspects in a Saturday night cell phone robbery in Kingstowne

A little before 10:40 p.m. on Saturday, April 23, a 16-year-old from Alexandria told police that he had been robbed earlier in the night. He was walking on a sidewallk on Kingstowne Village Parkway, close to Kingstowne Towne Center. Two people walking in the opposite direction approached, and one of them slapped the teen's cell phone out of his hand. The suspect left with his cell phone.

According to a police press release, the suspects have been identified. Charges have not been filed yet, however, so police will not release their names.
