Teen Thwarts Burglar in Island Creek

Attempted burglary occurred on April 14.

A teenage boy managed to foil an attempted burglary in the Island Creek area of Kingstowne, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.

Around 6:15 p.m. on April 14, the teenager was at his home on the 7800 block of Desiree Street, when he noticed an intruder opening a sliding glass door. The teenager confronted the suspect, and the suspect ran away from the scene.

Anyone who may have seen someone fleeing from the scene or have other information should call the Fairfax County Police Department TIPS line at (866) 411-TIPS (8477).
