Woman, 21, Seriously Injured in Hit and Run; Police Seek Information

A 21-year-old woman was seriously injured in the Sunday evening hit and run.

Authorities are looking for help in finding a car that struck a 21-year-old woman Sunday.

The incident took place at about 7:30 p.m. Gambrill Road near Vogels Way in the Springfield area, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.

Police said that the woman was walking southbound when she was struck from behind by an unidentified car. The driver did not stop, police report.

The victim was taken to Inova Fairfax Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
