Countywide Transit Network Study Meeting Tonight

Hayfield Secondary School is hosting a county transportation meeting Thursday night.

The Fairfax County Department of Transportation (FCDOT) is holding a public meeting Thursday evening at to discuss the Countywide Transit Network Study.

The meeting will be in the form of an open house from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. There will also be a brief presentation at 7 p.m. and an opportunity to participate in two workshop discussions afterwards. 

According to a statement released by FCDOT, the Countywide Transit Network Study intends to "determine the most effective way to serve the County’s long term mobility needs and accommodate planned growth by establishing a network of high quality transit corridors."

Thursday's meeting will give the community an opportunity to discuss the study and its goals, as well as identify changes to the Comprehensive Plan designation of Enhanced Public Transportation Corridors.
