Democratic Campaign Office to Open Sunday in Springfield

Gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe will be in attendance at the grand opening event.

The Franconia-Springfield 2013 Democratic Campaign Office will open in Springfield on Sunday. Gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe will be in attendance during Sunday's grand opening, according to a recent Lee District Democratic Committee newsletter.

The office is located at 6354-A Springfield Plaza, adjacent to the rear entrance of the Hard Times Cafe. The event will begin at 1:30 p.m. and will be the kickoff for campaign and election activities scheduled in this area of Fairfax County in the coming weeks. McAuliffe will speak at 2:30 p.m.

The event will also give people the opportunity to meet Coordinated Campaign Field Organizers Megan Irving Tyler (western half of Lee District) and James Heo (eastern half of Lee District).

The Springfield campaign office will be open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday-Saturday and 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.
