Banks Park Master Plan Meeting

The Fairfax County Park Authority will hold a Public Comment Meeting to gather public sentiment on the draft master plan for the Olander and Margaret Banks Neighborhood Park. The Lee District property is located at 7400 Old Telegraph Road, Alexandria, VA. The community meeting will be held on Thursday, February 17, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., at Lane Elementary School in the cafeteria. The school is located at 7137 Beulah Street in Alexandria, VA.

This is the second public meeting held to discuss community ideas, suggestions and concerns about this property. This meeting will feature a presentation about the site’s current conditions, uses, and changes proposed by the draft master plan. Following the presentation, the meeting will continue with a moderated public comment session to provide input on the draft plan.

The proposed plan is available for review online. A hard copy of the plan can also be examined in the Fairfax County Park Authority Planning Division offices at the Herrity Building located at 12055 Government Center Parkway, Suite 406, Fairfax, VA.
