Franconia Park: What's in It for You?

What would you like to see in a new Franconia Park?

With the Fairfax County Park Authority’s plans to update the 62 acre park with its playing fields, garden plots, parking, trails and forest, there’s a lot of opportunity for community input.

The park’s master plan was developed in 1974. What’s on your Franconia Park wish list for 2013?

Do you want more playing fields, a skate park or a spray ground? What about restroom facilities, picnic shelters or playgrounds for tots or elementary school kids? Is safety an issue? More bike paths? Let your county know in the comments below.

The county is expected to present a revised plan later this year and take public comment on the revisions at that time. There is no specific timeframe when changes might be implemented.
