Frey and Herrity to Host Meeting about Home Daycare Licensing

Supervisors Michael Frey and Pat Herrity will speak at the Fairfax County Government Center Monday to answer questions about proposed changes to licensing.

Supervisors Michael Frey and Pat Herrity will host a town hall meeting Monday to discuss changes to in-home daycare provider licensing.

An e-mail from Michael Frey said he and Herrity will be hosting the meeting to discuss issues and answer questions about proposed changes to licensing. The changes will affect state and county licensed in-home child care providers.

According to the Virginia Department of Social Services, there are more than 20 in-home day care providers in the Chantilly area.

Along with Frey and Herrity, representatives from the Fairfax County Office for Children and the Department of Planning and Zoning will be present to help answer questions.

The "Child Care Provider and Parent’s Town Hall Meeting" will be at 7 p.m., July 23. It will be in the Board Auditorium at the Fairfax County Government Center, at 12000 Government Center Pkwy. Fairfax, Va.
