Lee District Republican Committee to Host Candidate Forum for Lieutenant Governor and Attorney General Candidates

The Ken Cuccinelli campaign and local organizations will speak briefly during the forum Thursday night; the event is open to the public.

The Lee District Committee and Colonial Republican Women will host a candidate forum for lieutenant governor and attorney general candidates from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Virginia Hills Center in Alexandria. A chance to speak socially with candidates and others in attendance will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Each of the lieutenant governor and attorney general candidates were invited to speak at the event, and according to Lee District Republican Chairman Susan Valentine, all nine campaigns have confirmed their participation. Each candidate or a representative from their campaign will have five minutes to speak.

Those in attendance will also hear from the Ken Cuccinelli campaign, the Colonial Republican Women and the Lee District, Fairfax County and 8th District Republican Committees. Because of the full schedule, the event does not allow for questions from the public, but they are encouraged to speak with candidates during the social segment and after the presentations.
