McKay to Host Older Adult Forum at Greenspring Friday

Public is invited to discuss ideas on transportation, housing, safety and access to services for older residents in Fairfax County.

Lee District Supervisor Jeff McKay will host a discussion on how to create a more "aging-friendly community" from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Friday at Greenspring Village in Springfield.

Between 2005 and 2030, Fairfax County expects the 50 and over population to increase by 40 percent and the 70 and over age group by 88 percent. Join the conversation to discuss your ideas on transportation, housing, community engagement, safety and access to services for older residents in Fairfax County.

Comments expressed during the forum will be reviewed to develop a new Fairfax 50+ Action Plan which will guide the county in meeting the needs of its growing older population.
