Metro Board Could Change Blue and Yellow Line Service

Trains could be added and re-routed to address overcrowding on Orange Line.

Residents who use Metro for their morning and evening commutes may want to pay attention to a customer service meeting Thursday, Oct. 12.

The Washington Post reports that Metro's board will be meeting to vote on "implementing service line changes to the Blue and Yellow lines."

According to the Post, Metro chief spokesman Dan Stessel said Blue Line trains would be re-routed over the Yellow Line bridge. Metro would also add three trains in each direction on the Orange Line between West Falls Church and Largo Town Center.

The changes will benefit many customers but could cause other customers at Rosslyn to have to wait longer for a Blue Line train.
