Telegraph Road Interchange Ramp Closures

Monday, Oct. 31 through Thursday, Nov. 3 DAILY from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.:

• The on-ramp from Telegraph Road South to the Capital Beltway Outer Loop (I-95/495 North) will be closed for roadway construction.   Detour: Motorists should take the ramp to Huntington Avenue East to U.S. Route 1 North to the on-ramp to the Outer Loop.
• The on-ramp from Telegraph Road North to the Capital Beltway Outer Loop (I-95/495 North) will be closed for roadway construction.   Detour: Motorists should continue to Duke Street East to U.S. Route 1 South to the on-ramp to the Outer Loop.

Wednesday, November 2 Complete Closure of Northbound Telegraph 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning. 
 
November 2 Complete Closure Details: Motorists are strongly advised to seek alternate routes to avoid delays. 

• Telegraph Road North will be completely closed just after the ramp to Eisenhower Avenue for work on the bridge over the railroad tracks.  Detour: To access Duke Street, motorists should take the ramp to Eisenhower Avenue to right on Eisenhower Avenue to the traffic circle to Holland Lane to Duke Street.
• The on-ramp from Telegraph Road North to the Capital Beltway Outer Loop (I-95/495 North) will be closed.  Detour:  Motorists should take the ramp to Eisenhower Avenue East to Holland Avenue North to Duke Street East to U.S. Route 1 South to the Outer Loop.
• The on-ramp from Telegraph Road North to the Capital Beltway Inner Loop (I-95/495 South) will be closed.  Detour: Motorists should take the ramp to Eisenhower Avenue West to the Eisenhower Connector South to the I-95 South ramp.
• The exit ramp from the Capital Beltway Inner Loop (I-95/495 South) to Telegraph Road North will be closed.  Detour:  To access Duke Street, motorists should take the Pershing Avenue exit from the Inner Loop to right on Stovall Street to left on Eisenhower Avenue to the traffic circle to Holland Lane to Duke Street.
• There will be no access from westbound Pershing Avenue to Telegraph Road North during this time.  Eisenhower Valley motorists bound for Duke Street should take Stovall Street to left on Eisenhower Avenue to the traffic circle to Holland Lane to Duke Street

Capital Beltway Closures

Monday, Oct. 31 from 9:30 a.m. to noon:

• The right lane of the Beltway Outer Loop (I-95/495 North) will be closed from the Eisenhower Connector to the Telegraph Road interchange for roadway construction.

Monday, Oct. 31 through Thursday, Nov. 3 Daily from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.:

• The right lane of the Capital Beltway Inner Loop (I-95/495 South) will be closed between the Telegraph Road interchange and the Eisenhower Connector for roadside improvements.

Thursday, Nov. 3 Overnight from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next morning

• The Capital Beltway Inner Loop (I-95/495 South) LOCAL lanes will be narrowed to one lane (alternating lanes) between the U.S. Route 1 interchange and Telegraph Road for repair work.  This will leave one LOCAL lane open. 
• The on-ramps from U.S. Route 1 North and South to the Inner Loop LOCAL lanes also will be closed during this time.  Motorists should use the on-ramps to the THRU lanes.

Friday, Nov. 4 at 9 p.m. through Sunday, Nov. 6 at 9 p.m. Continuously:

• The Capital Beltway Inner Loop (I-95/495 South) LOCAL lanes will be narrowed to one lane (alternating lanes) between the U.S. Route 1 interchange and Telegraph Road for repair work.  This will leave only one LOCAL lane open at all times.  Motorists are strongly encouraged to use the THRU lanes in this corridor, as significant back-ups are expected on the LOCAL lanes.
• The on-ramps from U.S. Route 1 North and South to the Inner Loop LOCAL lanes also will be closed during this time.  Motorists should use the on-ramps to the THRU lanes.
