Telegraph Road and Beltway Closures This Week

Be advised of the following Telegraph Road and Capital Beltway closures in the area this week.

Telegraph Road Interchange

Wednesday, Dec. 14 until Monday, Dec. 19 – Closure of Outer Loop ramp to Huntington Avenue:

• Beginning at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, December 14, the ramp from the Outer Loop local lanes to Huntington Avenue will be closed continuously until 5 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 19. The portion of the ramps to N. King’s Highway and Telegraph Road South will remain open during this time. 
  Detour: Motorists traveling on the Outer Loop local lanes wishing to go to Huntington Avenue will be advised via variable message signs to proceed to U.S. Route 1 to Huntington Avenue. This closure is necessary to widen the ramp to Huntington to the planned dimensions, which was not possible during the previous phases of construction of the interchange.

Capital Beltway Closures

Sunday, Dec. 11 through Thursday, Dec. 15 nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next morning:

• The left lane of the Capital Beltway Outer Loop (I-95/495 North) will be closed between the Eisenhower Avenue Connector and Telegraph Road for barrier removal.

Monday, Dec. 12 and Thursday, Dec. 15 daily from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.:

• The right lane of the Capital Beltway Inner Loop (I-95/495 South) will be closed between Telegraph Road and the Eisenhower Avenue Connector to install overhead signage.

Tuesday, Dec. 13 and Wednesday, Dec. 14 daily from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.: 

• The right lane of the Capital Beltway Outer Loop (I-95/495 North) will be closed between the Eisenhower Avenue Connector and Telegraph Road to install overhead signage.
