Traffic Alert: Lane Closures Tuesday Night on Interstate 95 North

VDOT workers will be working on overhead sign removal and installation.

If you plan to travel on Interstate 95 North tonight (Tuesday night) or Wednesday morning, three lanes will be closed for VDOT work.

Starting tonight (Tuesday) at 9:30 p.m., the Virginia Department of Transportation is closing the three right lanes on I-95 North at the Franconia-Springfield Parkway (Rt. 289) and three left lanes of I-95 North from a point just south of Pohick Road to the Fairfax County Parkway for overhead sign removal and installation.

At both locations, there will be temporary closures of all lanes for intermittent periods of up to 30 minutes after midnight.

Police will be on-site to maintain the flow of traffic.  All lanes will be reopened by 5 a.m.
