Weigh in on New Playground at Lee District Park

The Park Authority is accepting comments on a new playground area through July 10.

Now is your chance to weigh in on the construction and installation of a new playground at Lee District Park in Franconia. The Fairfax County Park Authority is accepting public comment on the project through July 10.

“The new playground would be an addition to the Family Recreation Area of the park, which is a unique, fully-accessible destination recreation area for children and their families with physical and other special needs,” according to a Park Authority press release.

A , tree house and playground for children ages 5 to 12 are already open at the park.

The new playground will be funded in part through a grant from the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF).
