Edison Band Tag Day Scheduled for This Weekend

Band members will go door-to-door to collect donations in the community

The Edison High School Marching Band Booster Organization has organized a Tag Day fundraiser for the band for Sept. 7-8.

Band members in uniform will go door-to-door in the community this weekend to collect donations that will help fund their performance and competition season costs. A tax-deductible contribution to the Edison Band Parent Organization will help continue the tradition of excellence in music education and community pride.

The Edison bands are under the direction of Charlie J. Mitchell. The high school's bands include the Marching Eagles, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Percussion Ensemble and Indoor Winter Guard.

The Marching Eagles perform the halftime show at all home football games. The bands' winter and spring concerts are open to the public and free of charge. The concerts usually feature performances by all Edison Bands.
