The Rose Hill Players to Perform 'Beauty and the Beast'

Save the date: The performance is scheduled for May 17-18 at Edison High School.

The Rose Hill Players of Rose Hill Elementary School will take to the stage once again to perform the musical "The Enchantment of Beauty and the Beast." The performance is scheduled for May 17-18 at 7 p.m. at Edison High School.

This year's show follows the familiar tale of a selfish prince cursed by a powerful witch and condemned to be a beast until he learns to love. When a poor widow plucks a forbidden rose, Beast sentences her to death but allows her daughter, Beauty, to say goodbye.

Beauty goes to the Beast and promises to stay if her mother’s life is spared, and in their time together Beast falls in love with her, creating the opportunity to break the witch's curse.
