EHS All Star Basketball Classic

On Friday, March 18th, 2011 at 7:00 pm, Edison High School will host the EHS All Star Basketball Classic.  This curriculum driven event is presented by the Sports & Entertainment Marketing program, DECA, and the EHS Marketing Department.  Advanced Sports & Entertainment marketing students are responsible for development, organization, and management of the event.  In addition, students will also manage all the event marketing, promotion, and public relations.

This event will combine a variety of basketball related events into one night of excitement in the main gym at EHS!  The event includes a round robin tournament between student classes (ex. 2012 vs. 201), a multiple event skills competition, a slam dunk contest, and a half court shot contest, all building up to the main event.  In the main event, the winning student class of the round robin tournament will take on the EHS faculty in a hard fought battle of the young hotshots versus the old timers!

“We are very excited for the event. We’ve been working hard putting together the teams and working on advertising materials.  We’re looking forward to giving Edison a great show!, said Alex Seitz, Advanced Sports & Entertainment Marketing student.
